Five On Friday!

I'm linking up with Darci from The Good Life Blog for
Five On Friday :)
1. My first week at my new job is in the books! It's been such an adjustment from being with my nephews every day and laying on the couch while they feed me fruit snacks, to working at a desk and rockin' a muffin top in my dress pants. I am excited to be back at a "real job" so to speak. Not to say that being a Nanny wasn't work because, let's get real people. How many days have you spent fishing things out of the toilet and watching three year olds pee on ant hills because they "wanted to make a river"? But I'm really loving my new job and the work it entails.

2. I cannot wait to catch up on my DVR this weekend. I am ashamed to say I have not watched a single Real Housewives episode all week. I know, start throwing the stones now. But the upside to this is that I'll get to watch them all back to back, feeding the Housewives beast inside me for an extended block of time. I. Cannot. Wait.

3. Speaking of Housewives, this will be me at 5pm tonight

4. My horoscope on Wednesday was eerily accurate. It's like, it knew about my little blog over here, and it was trying to tell me something. I've been thinking about it nonstop.

5. I saved the best for last. I'm guest posting today for my home girl Holly over at Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally so get your asses over there and check it out!!!!

  1. Nice to "meet" you! I read your guest post. Losing weight and being healthy is HARD! I had my son the end of February and decided I didn't want to be the overweight mom on the sidelines, I wanted to be all up in the fun with him. I've lost almost 50 pounds since I had him (about 35 baby weight) and have a whole new outlook on eating and exercise. Beach Body has some amazing programs, email me if you are interested in trying something new! clair.jenkins@yahoo.com

  2. I love it that you love the housewives!! And congrats on your first week at the new job!!

  3. Hi!! Here from Holly's blog! Good luck in your weight loss struggles. I'm also trying to drop about 30 lbs. I hate it, but I want to FEEL better! And I do actually worry about my health, I can't lie.
As for weddings. Do what you said last, make it a party. That's what ours was and I still get complimented on it over 2yrs later. While Pinterest was around during my wedding planning, I wasn't yet a part of it, so I didn't see all of that stuff. I'm almost glad, but on the other hand, all of that stuff would have been SUPER helpful! I say don't overwhelm yourself, commit to the DIY things you actually wanna or will do & nod the others off. Jot down the ideas you like & see how you can incorporate them. Hell, when it comes down to it, you're celebrating you and your hubs-to-be becoming one...so if you decided to have Pizza and a boom box, it'd be perfectly fine because you'd still be celebrating y'all.
Okay...that might not have been the best example, but you catch my drift.
Oh & I juuust posted that RHOA should be returning Late Octobor! Woop Woop! I only watch OC & Atl when it comes to the Housewives, lol.
Anyways, sorry so much in a comment!
My name is Brandy & I blog over at Sissy Fits (sissy-fits.blogspot.com), it's nice to "meet" you!
    Welcome to the blogosphere!

  4. Loved your post for Holly! Sounds like a great journey, and that you are headed in the right direction! I definitely struggle with my weight, and wanting to eat ALL the Mexican food and drink ALL of the beer, but sadly, I cannot. Finding that balance is definitely a struggle, but the fight sure seems worth it in the end! Or at least that's what I tell myself - hoping it'll work to help me put on my running shoes :)

    Congrats on the new job!

  5. Loving your blog and your post on Holly's blog!! Nice to "meet" you!:)

A few years ago, I lost 70 pounds and met the love of my life in the process. Now we are expecting baby #1 in January!

  6. Read your post on Holly's page. Good job! I don't like running either and swimming has worked for me. Good luck finding something you love! It makes a big difference.
