Todd, Abby, Mason, and Reed are related to my brother-in-law Kent, as Todd is his cousin. His wife Abby had reached out to me mid-summer about scheduling a fall session, and despite having to reschedule from Saturday to Sunday due to the rain, the pictures could not have turned out any better.
Little boys are truly some of God's greatest gifts. I have such a soft spot in my heart for them because each little boy I encounter reminds me of my nephews, who are the loves of my life. Mason and Reed especially reminded me of them because they are cousins to my nephews, and I had such a fun time watching them explore and toss around the tiny pumpkins and gourds I brought along for the shoot. Abby was a little concerned their high energy would make them difficult to photograph, but I think it created a lot of beautiful moments between the family!
The temperature was around 70 degrees, and what started as an overcast day ended up being just sunny and golden enough to give us the autumn feel I was looking for. They were all troopers during our location change, and you could never tell they were being swarmed by hoards of mosquitos the entire time we were outside! I am so grateful they chose me to photograph their beautiful family, and I can't wait for my upcoming sessions as well!
