Hey All! It's been wild over here at the Glover House, or Glover Tree Farm as I'm calling it now that I have all of my Christmas Trees up and decorated! We've been diligently decorating and preparing like the good little elves that we are for Christmas and we're almost finished putting it all together. I promise I'll blog about it once we're done, the finished product pretty much puts the Griswold's to shame.
Lorelai turned six months old this weekend which is so crazy I literally can't even. She's halfway to a one year old. WTF! It seems like I just pushed her out of my chuckie and now here she is almost one?!? I've been working lately and haven't had an opportunity to get her in my studio and take some photos but I need to do so ASAP. That's my goal for tomorrow, quote me on it.
I also have some upcoming Christmas mini sessions and Bradley built this cute little stand to use and I went to Target yesterday to pick up some fun props for the shoot. I'm using my niece and her boyfriend as my guinea pigs to snap a few images to get an idea of what it's going to look like and I'm so excited to see it all come together. It's gonna be so adorable!
Boo Boo Kitty also had her six month check up yesterday. Her pediatrician said she's an overachiever (duh) but she's kinda spoiled (double duh) and I should start making her sleep in her crib. She slept in her own room for the first time last night to her and Daddy's dismay (he was threatening to go in and rescue her) and I couldn't be more proud of her, or well rested. Time is flying by, I wish I could bottle these days and visit them anytime I wanted to. Instead it's like they're escaping through my fingertips and I can't slow it down or make it stop. I wish my sweet girl would stay a baby forever except to be potty trained so I don't have to change anymore diapers.
I had a couple of sessions recently, one with the Walker Family whose girls you may remember from a shoot I did with them over the summer. This time the whole family was involved and we had so much fun despite the chilly weather. The girls, Peyton and Reese, wore the most beautiful dresses and posed for me like professionals. They are superstars in my book and I always wish I had more time to just sit and capture their essence in photos because it is amazing.
I also did a Senior Shoot with my friend Barb's daughter Abbi. Don't get me wrong, I love shooting families and documenting those emotions and interactions, but there's also something special about a solo shoot. There's a level of closeness and a connection you have to make with that person to get them to relax and open up enough for you to capture their individuality and tell their story. Plus I love the outfit and location changes that come along with a senior shoot. It just feels like you're reading different chapters of their story. They turned out beautifully and I'm so excited to share them!
