Guess Who's Back!

Well, well, well, look who it is! My short-term hiatus from blogging was unintentional and literally every day I told myself I was going to post on here and share some of my most recent work and talk about myself in the most flattering of ways. But time kept getting away from me, my to-do list got longer, my kid got more mobile, and my health, well, that's for another post.

I recently took on a part time Recruiting job working remotely from home. A little back story - I worked for a well known Temp Agency for three years, had some of the area's biggest clients, and kicked ass at what I did. I "retired" as I like to say, to stay home with Lorelai and pursue photography, until I got a message a couple of weeks ago from a former client asking if I wanted to work for them but still stay at home. Basically, she made me an offer I couldn't refuse AND I get the chance to interact with adults and NOT listen to Mickey Mouse a few hours a day. I was sold. So, between this new venture, my business, my kid, my husband, my house, my animals, the holidays, and another little side job I've taken on that I'll be sharing more about soon, I've been a wee bit busy. But it's cool, I'm just going to not sleep the next couple of nights so I can draft up some posts to share and feel accomplished in this area of my life.

Anyway, the house is decorated for Christmas and once I've finished deep cleaning it for our guests this weekend, I'll snap a few photos to share of the inside and outside of our super festive abode! I also plan to shoot Lorelai's Christmas/7 month photos next week which will be so super adorable!

So, a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph The Hutton Family and the day we planned to meet, it was around 32 degrees outside and incredibly windy. I'm telling you, it was so cold, I couldn't feel my fingers or my nose when we were done. I was nervous driving home that the pictures would reflect how cold we all were, but when I opened them up on my computer I was absolutely amazed. Some of the most beautiful colors, tones, and familial connections I've had the opportunity to photograph in a very long while! Thanks to Angela, Josh, and sweet Cora for sticking it out and sharing some laughs with me.
